A downloadable game for Windows

Really Fast Rat!!!

A high speed 2D platformer where you play as an adorable fat rat!

This demo version has 1 tutorial level and 3 main levels, as well as a small hub world. Times for each of the main levels are saved, and each level has times to beat to get the best rank!
There are also 6 hats to collect. They can be found by getting the best rank (the S rank) or by finding one in the level somewhere, so keep your eyes out.

This is a very early version of the game you are playing.
The full game is planned to have around 25 main levels and it set to release late 2025.
Because this is a work in progress, I would super duper appreciate any feedback anyone has. You can leave it in the in game form or in the itch comment section.
There are deffo a ton of bugs, so if you encounter one, please tell me and tell me how you managed to make it happen.

It is recommended that you use a controller for this game

Controls can be seen in game.

Okay, first of all, I'm not a game developer, so please keep that in mind. At best, I'm a mediocre QA tester. That all being said, I just finished QA testing this release, and submitting feedback using the Google Docs form linked to from within the game itself.

Compared with the last release I played, this is a night-and-day difference!! The gameplay's far more fleshed out than it was with the last release I played, which barely had anything in it, beyond the very basic elements of the first level.

I'd say that my favourite addition has to be the button hints for new gameplay elements. That kind of thing is incredibly-helpful to a player like me. Also, the level design was fun, and compelling. It made me want to keep on trying over and over until I got it right, which is something that usually deters me from some platformers. The addition of a hub world to connect it all was a nice touch, too.

The sound design was delightful, and I really enjoyed the music. The rat made so many cute noises, and each song fit its respective level perfectly. I deeply enjoyed my time with this release.

This is gonna be an amazingly-fun game when it comes out! And it's so well put together. The things you've added make it a totally different, far more immersive experience.

Fantastic platformer~ 🥹
